Being a Fassbender fan, I may be biased but I think this film is really good.
Frank (2014)

Meet the avant-garde indie band The Soronprfbs.
The frontman wearing a giant fake head is Frank(Michael Fassbender). The manager is Don(Scoot McNairy), who admires Frank. Clara(Maggie Gyllenhaal) plays the theremin. She's always in rage. Baraque(François Civil) is the cool French guy that plays bass. Nana(Carla Azar) is the drummer that seldom talks.
The band meet a wannabe musician Jon(Domhnall Gleeson) one day. He asked to fill in as the band's keyboard player. They agreed. Jon was devoted to the band. He made use of th Internet to gain more exposure. He strove a spot to play in SXSW. However, the members had divided views and eventually split up. Frank was unstable and insecure performing without his mates. He then suffered a tremedous breakdown. Jon later tracked down the mask-less Frank, and bring him back to rest of the band.
It's a bizarre story no doubt. It's intriguing and entertaining, with a bittersweet undertone.
Jon felt guilty for ruining the band in the end. Well, he was trying to help. There are two types of musicians, one wants to be likable, one wants to be himself. There's nothing wrong with both. Jon and the band were not on the same path, that's the problem. He realised that he's an outsider, so he left for good.
The soundtrack is as fun, as crazy and as creative as the film. All music are performaned live by the cast. Carla Azar is the only prof in this fictional band. She's a brilliant drummer. Michael Fassbender is a pretty singer too. Sounds a bit like Jim Morrison. Sexy deep voice.
Fassbender's Frank is dubbed as "a masterclass performance". Actually he just had a few minutes appearence. He acted mischievously under a mask most of the time. He later revealed as a socially awkward person without the face. Very timid and introverted. His performance (esp. the last scene) is absolutely contagious.
What an entrance. They seems like a group of lunatics at first, but the moment they clicked, magic happened.
Look how satisfied and proud Don was...
Fantastic ending. A very emotional performance by the always amazing Michael Fassbender. Great song. Great progession. Frank had his mojo back. The band hit it off right away. Jon took off. The audience didn't bother much. Everything's "normal" again. Please stay weird.
