Restless days. Restless nights.
This is happening in Hong Kong.
We citizens join force with our students to fight for a REAL universal suffrage, instead of accepting a proposal of voting among 2 or 3 candidates approved by Chinese Government. During this week, we faced pepper spray and teargas. We were attacked by mobs and paid triads while the police did LITTLE attempts to stop the mobs. We were discredited by mainstream media as they devote a certain amount of airtime for government announcements. Not even ONE govt officer stand up and point out its wrongdoings.
We can't trust the govt. We can't trust the police.
In Mongkok, people get hit and insult and curses. People don't fight back. They hold hands to defend the young and the women among them. They take photos and videos as evidences. They identity attackers and help to turn them in.
And in the meanwhile, we are accused of slowing down the economy and wasting police resource.
