What I learn from "How to Train Your Dragon" is animation films can be as good as motion pictures.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014)

Voice-over by: Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Kit Harington
"How to Train Your Dragon" is awesome. Its sequel tops it. Hiccup looks muturer, so does the film.
This DreamWorks film is very exciting. There're unexpexted twists in the story. I applause the production team taking risks. It's darker, it's bloody. A few new characters bring new tention. Every characters and every dragons are full of personality. The film is beautifully scored by John Powell, which is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Score for his work in the 1st film. The film is exciting, entertaining and emotional (the 3Es!). Everything just work very well. It's not just a film for children.
As being a fan of "Game of Thrones", I do see quite a number of references between the two shows. Sure I am not the only one that notice these little things. Check out the link below.
Well beside the mentioned 5 points (dragons, limps, dragon lady, Kit Harrington and the Throne), how about 6)a big guy called Drago, 7)the boat funeral and 8)the mum who looks and sounds extremely like Lady Stark, Michelle Fairley.
Last but not the least, love the theme song "Where No One Goes" by Jónsi, the lead of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. 9)Remember who performed at the purple wedding? Yes, Sigur Rós.
