Talking of films to watch on a plane, this is not the right one. I watched this on plane once. Too tired to process it. Hence, have to watch it again.

Side Effects (2013)
Directed by: Steven Soderbergh
Written by: Scott Z. Burns
Starring: Jude Law, Rooney Mara, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Channing Tatum
The biggest lesson from this film -- Don't mess with the wrong guy.
The depiction of depression is realistic. It set a greyish and foggy mood to the film. I am so buying it. Then all of a sudden, the director showed up and said "BOOM! Gotcha!!" I didn't see those multiple twists coming at all. Very smart. Just when I think that Dr. Banks is doomed, he fought back beautifully. Bravo.
Something not making much sense to me though, like Emily's motive & the Emily-Siebert relationship.
Jude Law and Rooney Mara are amazing in the film. Rooney Mara is one of my favourite new stars. It is reported that she gave away the leading role in "Zero Dark Thirty" for this. "Zero Dark Thirty" provides Jessica Chastain with a breakthrough role, which landed her tons of nominations for her performance. I'm not sure if Rooney Mara had made a correct decision for her career, but I think Emily is perfect for her. She could be vulnerable. She could be a darling. She could be dirty. An absolutely versatile actress.
Director Steven Soderbergh resign from the movie industry after this film. I think it's an interesting finale work.
P.S. Love this song featured in the film. Sounds wicked and scheming.
